Important: Measles Alert

Following a recent outbreak of measles, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).

Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.

If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Prescriptions

We’ve introduced an improved way to contact your surgery via the Dr.iQ Evergreen Life app.

This means you can now order repeat prescriptions with us online via the Evergreen Life app.

Please make sure that you only use the links or QR codes on this page to download the Evergreen Life app if you are registered at Church Lane Surgery.

Ordering prescriptions through the Evergreen app

 

Please note: we do not accept telephone requests for repeat medication.

Please remember to request your repeat medication 7 days in advance to allow enough time for us to process your request. Repeat prescriptions of regular medication must be asked for and may be collected after 4pm on the third working weekday following the request.

It will take us 3 days to process your request, so please request in plenty of time. The pharmacy usually also require a few days to process it after we approve it. You can arrange for a pharmacy to collect your prescription and some pharmacies will deliver to housebound patients.

Other important information

Your doctor will wish to review your treatment periodically. They will ask you to attend surgery when this is necessary.
